"Pupils work hard and have positive attitudes to learning. They concentrate hard in lessons and their behaviour is good. They respect each other’s ideas and work well together. Pupils want to do well, and the vast majority of them produce work that they are, rightly, very proud of."

At St Edward’s we see play and free time as an important part of the school day for every child. Children are encouraged to:

  • include everyone in games and activities (family and community) through our Catholic Social Teaching.
  • respect toys and equipment, by being responsible to tidy up after playing (stewardship of God’s creation).
  • be kind to everyone, despite their differences (dignity of the human person).
  • be a peacemaker if there is an argument (solidarity and the common good)
  • be a friend if someone feels left out (option for the poor and vulnerable).
  • respect the adults on play duty (dignity of work and the rights of the worker).
  • listen and follow rules to keep everyone safe (rights and responsibilities).

Donations of toys are gratefully received at any time of the year. Our donation Station can be found by the main entrance of the school.
