About Us Governors

Welcome to St Edward’s Catholic Junior School Governor Page.

The Governing Body of St Edward’s School is made up of a range of people from many different backgrounds, including representatives from the Local Authority and are appointed by the Bishop of Northampton.  For Parent Governors, they are appointed by the parents/carers of the school through a voting system.  This helps ensure the Governing Body has sufficient experience and diversity of views and skills.

All Governors are volunteers and they offer their time, skills and experience to help run the School.

With the changes to the Ofsted inspection framework the role of the Governors will become even more critical in ensuring that the school gives their pupils the very best education it can and provides them with the sound base they will require to build and shape their futures.

Governors will be challenged directly to show that they undertake all of the functions set out above and that they can demonstrate a clear knowledge and understanding of how the school goes about achieving the strategic aims set out for it.

Thank you for visiting this page.
